Yikes.
My replacement is here now, and we're in 'handover' mode, lots of
talking and trying to communicate all those million things I've been
keeping in my brain since I arrived! It's a lot harder than I thought
to make sure you really cover everything. But so far it's going very
well. Martine is excited to be here and ready to really get
going...I'm probably holding her back at this point!
I'm excited to be coming home, but sad to be leaving.
I'm not done yet, of course, I still have two weeks to go, but it's
already starting to feel like 'the end'.
I'll be leaving Monrovia on Sunday the 5th, arriving in Amsterdam and
debriefing there, then flying to New York and debriefing there, then
finally home to Seattle.
Probably next week (the week of the 30th) I'll officially stop working
and I'll try to spend some time posting to update on what's been going
on the last six weeks.
